Party Gaming announced two strategic acquisitions this week. The company paid $66.3 million in shares for Empire Online and Intercontinental Online Gaming. Through this deal, Party Gaming will take over popular sites such as Empire’s Noble Poker and Club Dice Casino and Intercontinental’s Casino Las Vegas and Fair Poker.
Paty Gaming’s CEO Mitch Garber Said “These acquisitions represent excellent value for our shareholders and are consistent with our strategy”. The company expects to profit $8.5 million in 2007 from this deal, which is divided to $6 million from Empire sites and $2.5 million from Intercontinental’s.
All the sites acquired by Party Gaming are licensed by Playtech. Party Gaming, who has its own poker and casino software are predicted to contect Playtech and discontinue their services when the deals are concluded.
